The "Westmoreland" - Official Number 308035 - was a refrigerated cargo ship of 8,230 grt, 11,858 dwt delivered in February 1966 by Lithgows Limited of Port Glasgow to the Federal Steam Navigation Company Limited and was a sister vessel to the New Zealand Shipping Company's "Taupo", "Tongariro" and "Tekoa" which were all built by Bartrams of Sunderland. These vessels were all initially used on the Company's round service from the UK and Europe to Australia and New Zealand but in later years were switched to operate on the Persian Gulf to New Zealand route. In 1980, she was sold to Lebanese owners and renamed "Fares Reefer" and in 1981 was sold again to Hong Kong owners, renamed "Beacon Hill" and was under Blue Star Line management. In 1985, she was sold for scrapping to Chinese shipbreakers in Huangpu.

"Navikapol"

Launched on 09/10/1954 & completed on 19/12/1954 by Uddevallavarvet, Uddevalla, Sweden (138), 4,849 g.t. & 7,250 dwt., as the refrigerated cargo ship:-
'Clary Thorden' to 1965,
'Lindenstein' to 1976 and

While under Norddeutscher Lloyd of Bremen ownership as the 'Lindenstein' she was engaged in the Canary Island fruit service to Germany.
While sailing as the 'Navikapol' she was registered under an anonymous company of the same name, but noting the Chinese pictograms by the bridge, she is believed to be have been owned and operated by Thai Chinese.
